Royale Hayat Hospital
Background
Royale Hayat Hospital (RHH) started as a women’s and children’s hospital in 2006. Later, RHH has steadily and dynamically evolved to become Kuwait’s
leading multi-disciplinary healthcare provider that delivers the best patient care a modern hospital has to offer, in completely private and luxurious
surroundings for every age from birth to end of life, and every stage in between.
Business Needs & Challenges
to provide the most luxurious healthcare services, Royale Hayat Hospital needs to register the
details of every patient. It is imperative to collect the name, phone, date of birth, nationality, blood group,
area of residence and many more fields into the existing system. Although a one-time activity, this
process is error-prone and time-consuming.
Credentials used by patients
patients who visit Royale Hayat Hospital's premises use either:
- Kuwait's Smart Civil ID Card
- Mobile ID (Hawyti) mobile app
Users at Royale Hayat Hospital spend considerable time and effort in
entering the details of patients.
Characteristics of a viable solution
Royale Hayat Hospital needs a solution that should have the following characteristics:
-
When a patient arrives at any service desk requesting a subscription, s/he presents her/his Civil ID
card or Mobile ID (Hawyti) app to the Royale Hayat Hospital Representative.
-
If the Civil ID Card is used, the solution shall read from the card and fill the information directly onto ERP System.
-
If the Mobile ID (Hawyti) app is used, the representative shall use this technology to automatically fill the details of the patient.
-
The representative should have little-to-no human intervention in this process, to eliminate chances of error. Furthermore, any
customization to the existing system needs to be globally applicable and well-documented.
Solution
Royale Hayat Hospital decided to team-up with Sharper Software to
develop a solution that could address the aforementioned challenges.
Using Smart Civil ID Integration,
patients insert their Smart Civil ID card into a reader device. The patient's demographics, including but not
limited to: Name in both Arabic and English, Sex, Date of Birth, Nationality, etc. are automatically
captured and the related record is created in the system.
If Mobile ID (Hawyti) is presented by the patient, the representative asks the patient to open the QR Code Verification page on the app.
The Representative then scans this code using a 2D barcode reader device. Within a few seconds, the patient's demographics appear in
the selected patient. This is possible using Mobile ID (Hawyti) Integration
This saves the Representative the trouble of entering the details of the patient. Now, all what the Representative has to do is enter
the details of the subscription itself.
User experience is enhanced such that the time it takes to register a patient is minimal, but not at the expense of data quality. Both
patients and Representatives of Royale Hayat Hospital appreciate the ease of use and time-saving features of this solution.
